A viewing can feel like an important moment, especially when you are looking for someone you love. You are welcome to come with questions, take notes and give yourself time to think afterwards. This checklist helps you focus on the person’s everyday life and the support that matters to them.
Come with questions. Leave with clearer next steps.
Ask about individual assessment, who would explain the care plan, how routines and preferences are recorded, what help is available at meals and how family contact is agreed. Check the actual accommodation being discussed, access requirements and how privacy is respected. Ask who can answer a question after the tour.
Questions to take on your visit
Request written fees and terms, identify anything still to be assessed and check what a proposed offer would depend on. Keep notes of what you saw separately from what was described. A second visit or follow-up conversation may be useful, and a viewing does not create an obligation to move.
