Respite care enquiries in Bournemouth

A family may consider a shorter stay to explore temporary support or give a regular carer time away. Farway Grange’s existing service information.

A LITTLE REASSURANCE

Caring for someone you love can be rewarding and demanding at the same time. If you are exploring a short stay, we are happy to talk about what you are hoping for and the support the person needs. Ask the Farway Grange team about current respite arrangements, suitable dates and the assessment process.

Plan a short stay with the same care as a longer move.

Explain the purpose and likely length of the stay, the support currently provided and any timing constraints. Individual suitability still needs assessment, and the home may need information from relevant professionals. Ask how arrival, belongings, contact arrangements and a return home would be planned.

What needs to be agreed

Request written details of the proposed dates, fees, inclusions, cancellation terms and how an extension would be considered. A short stay does not automatically become an ongoing placement. If your enquiry follows a hospital stay, involve the appropriate discharge team and check with the team before assuming that a viewing request completes the assessment or handover.
